Having produced close to fifty plays, Sutradhar has established itself on the Indian theatre map. We wish to continue doing so and contribute to the vast, deep and ever-increasing ocean of this gorgeous performing art called Theatre.

A chronological, but not exhaustive, list of our performances has been compiled here.

Biryani Aur Haleem

Biriyani Aur Haleem Directed by Deepti and Mohit, Adapted from Huge Chesterman`s `The Pie & The Tart, staged at Lamakaana.

Birjees Qadar Ka Kunba

Urdu translation of `The House of Bernarda Alba`, Written by Lorca. Directed by Vinay Varma. First staged on 24.08.2012.

Andhon Ka Haathi

Written by the Late Sharad Joshi, Directed by Vinay Varma, First staged in Dec. 2005 at Saptaparni.

Aatmahatya Ki Dukaan

Written by Asha Varma, Staged at Saptaparni on 11.06.2006. Directed by the workshop`s students.

Written in Telugu by P. Sriram Murthy. Directed by Deepti and Mohit. First performed on 22.10.2011.

Written by Fritz Karinthy. Adapted & Directed by S. Narayan. First staged on 24 & 25.03.2012.

Ek Se Badhkar Ek

Written by S. Parthasarathy, Directed by Prof. Bhaskar Shewalkar. First staged on 13.06.2008 at Saptaparni.

A workshop production, written by Bipin Kumar Agarwal, staged on12.06.2004 at Telugu Univ. Auditoruim.

A organic play, without script conceived by Junaid, staged on 27.03.2008 at Saptaparni.

Written by Nand Kishore Acharya, Directed by Rakesh Raj. Staged on 19th Feb 2011 at Lamakaan.

Sita Apharan Case

Written by Dr. Prem Janmejai, this satire on the corrupt system, was very well received by the audience.

Siyaah Haashiye

A collage of short stories written by Saadat Hasan Manto. Directed by Deepti Girotra. First staged on 27.03.2011.

Written by Vishwanatha Kaviraju. Directed by Deepti Girotra. First staged on 12.07.2009 at Bhaskara Auditorium.

Neem Hakeem Khatra-e-jaan

Written by Moliere “Physician Inspite of Himself”, Adapted by Niyati Surelia. First staged on 10.06.2007 at Saptaparni.

Written by Subhash Sonavane, Asprushya-Marathi, Translated by Vinay Varma, directed by Prof. Bhaskar Shewalkar.

Kisi Aur Ka Sapna

Written by Nand Kishore Acharya. Directed by Prof. Bhaskar & Vinay. First staged on 26.03.2006 at Saptaparni.

Kisiko Tho Jana Hooga

First play of Sutradhar. Written by Subhash Parkhi. First staged on 01 Sept. at Ravindra Bharati.

Inspector Matadeen Chand Par

Written by Hari Shankar Parsai. Directed by Siddharth, Surabhi & RK. First staged on 16.06.2002.

Based on writings of Abhijit Sarkar. First staged on 12.06.2004 at Telugu Univ. Auditorium.

Hindi adaptation of the Malayalam play Orukootam Urumbukal written by Prof. G. Sankara Pillai.

And the Dead Tree

Mahasweta Devi’s “Stan Dayini” and two other pieces presented by Best of Kolkata Campus.

Vijay Tendulkar is the writer of this one-act play set in a train compartment.

Kissa Karorimal Ki Laash Ka

Translated in Hindi by Anant Kulkarni from Diwakar Babu`s Telugu play Kundeti Kommu.

Sutradhar staged short stories written by Ismat Chughtai.

Aarop presented by Sutradhar and Rangadhara, was an attempt to delve into the man-women relationship.

Saiyaa Bhai Kothwal

The play, which is the Hindi version of a Marathi play, is jointly being presented with the help of Sutrdhar and Rangadhara.

This play was presented by Sutradhar.

Bitter Chocolate

Written by Pinki Virani, directed by Vinay Varma. First show in Hyderabad on 13th March, 2015.

`Out At Sea` written by Slawomir Mrozek, directed by Vinay Varma staged on 27 & 28 March 2015 at Lamakaan.

Maryaada is workshop (Aug - Sept) production

Kane Raja Ki Ek Nagari

"Kane Raja Ki Ek Nagri" is a workshop production that was conducted by Sutradhar for children of Youngistaan (an NGO).

Kanjoos Makkhi Choose

Sutradhar performed Kanjoos Makkhi Choose for WORLD THEATRE DAY -2017.
